"Are cleaners and sanitizers the same thing?"
No, this is a common misconception among brewers and wine makers alike. A cleaner is exactly that, they are best used for long soak cleaning of equipment and miscellaneous parts. These chemicals will remove stubborn deposits, build up, and other tough organic material. Most require little to no scrubbing when soaking properly and need a hot rinse to remove any leftover residue from the cleaner. A sanitizer is used after your equipment is already clean and about ready to be used. Most are no rinse and food grade safe which gets your equipment ready to be submerged in your beer. Sanitizers do not take away tough stains or debris, they simply make the surface of your tools sterile and safe to be used when in contact with your beer. Keep in mind any piece of equipment that touches your beer must be sanitized before it comes in contact with anything else.
"What are the varieties of hops, and what will go good with my beer?"
Again, this is another question that we are encountered with frequently and this is a big part of your beers´ final outcome. We always have approximately 40 varieties available depending on the crop harvest and supplier yield etc. We encourage you to check out the link below which gives full descriptions of each variety and even gives flavor profiles and alpha acidity.
