Okanagan Peach Icewine Style - Limited Release

The Okanagan Valley lies in the rain shadow of British Columbia’s Coastal mountains. The region’s very low annual average rainfall means that part of the valley is a true desert! In this climate grapes ripen to perfect intensity, with notes of honey, apricot, and spice. Winexpert’s Okanagan Peach Icewine style has deep floral notes, stone fruit and perfect sweetness, balanced with the sun-ripened perfume of a luscious peach.

Blackberry Port - Limited Release

Native to the Americas, Blackberries are bursting with intense fruit flavours. Often used to describe Cabernet Sauvignon, blackberry aromas are deep and richly fruity. This, along with lingering tannins and a gorgeous deep purple hue make it an excellent foil for the broad richness of Port. Bright berry notes lift up this wine, making it a superb foil for intense cheeses, roasted nuts and especially chocolate desserts.

Chocolate Raspberry Port -  Limited Release

Hugely popular last year, this wine is bursting with rich, intense flavours and aromas, has traditional Port
character of warm, rounded cherry and plum, supported by a racy zing of bright raspberry. Perfumed and gently tart with luscious liquid chocolate, beguiling with dark, bittersweet aromas of coffee and vanilla. Toasty hints of oak guide the way to a long, rich finish. Excellent within three months, this wine will age gorgeously – if you can keep any that long!

SIMCOE

A dual-purpose, unique American hybrid.  Although it is primarily a bittering hop, it has a clean, pine-like aroma and flavoring with a slight hint of citrus.  It is less astringent than other pine-like hops and has been highly sought after to make distinctive and unique Pale Ales like Weyerbacher Double Simcoe® IPA.  The flavor is believed superior due to low cohumulone levels.

CITRA

A new, moderately-high acid cross between Hallertau Mittelfreuh, U.S. Tettnanger, Bavarian, Brewers Gold and E.K. Golding.  Very fruity.  Used in Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA and strong American and Belgian ales

 

CHINOOK

A high alpha acid hop with a wonderful herbal, almost smoky character when used as an aromatic during the last few minutes of the boil when dry hopping.  Excellent for American-style Pale Ales, especially those brewed to higher gravities.  Alpha Acid:  12.0-14.0%

 

SUMMIT

Typical alpha: 17.0-19.0%. Super-high alpha hop with a low cohumulone content and a strong orange/tangerine citrus character. Some even describe a onion and garlic pungency in the aroma from such a high level of alpha acids

PUMPKIN SPICE PORTER

This limited release autumn ale is the perfect companion to the changing seasons - from harvest to the holidays!  The recipe starts with Briess CBW® Porter base extract partnered with Caramel 90L, Carabrown® and dark chocolate steeping grains. To spice things up we added cinnamon, allspice and a hint of ginger. Willamette and Fuggle hops provide a mild balance in bitterness and this ale is fermented with Safale S-04 premium yeast. 

RYE PALE ALE

A pale ale that uses just the right amount of Rye, Munich and Honey malt to create a unique spiciness.  then we use three different hop varieties to perfectly balance the beer - and it´s dry hopped!  To convert the Rye we have included "steep-to-convert" instructions so we recommend you have a few batches under your belt before trying this tasty recipe.

HOLIDAY ALE  

This full-bodied amber beer has a rich, malty character that is flavored with orange peel, cinnamon and other spices.  It is a complex winter brew balanced with high alpha-acid hops.  At 7 - 8% this strong ale will be sure to warm you throughout the festive holiday season. 

WITBIER

A classic white ale brewed with wheat, barley, orange peel and coriander.  It is lightly hopped and fermented with Safbrew WB-06 resulting in an fruity, spicy, refreshing beer with a dry finish.

WLP039 Nottingham Ale Yeast
British style ale yeast with a very dry finish. Medium to low fruit and fusel alcohol production. Good top fermenting yeast strain, is well suited for top cropping (collecting). This yeast is well suited for pale ales, ambers, porters, and stouts.

WLP545 Belgian Strong Ale Yeast
From the Ardennes region of Belgium, this classic yeast strain produces moderate levels of ester and spicy phenolic character. Typically results in a dry, but balanced finish. This yeast is well suited for Belgian dark strongs, Abbey Ales, and Christmas beers.

WLP885 Zurich Lager Yeast
Swiss style lager yeast. With proper care, this yeast can be used to produce lager beer over 11% ABV. Sulfur and diacetyl production is minimal. Original culture provided to White Labs by Marc Sedam.
 

 

WLP090 San Diego Super Yeast 
A super clean, super-fast fermenting strain. A low ester-producing strain that results in a balanced, neutral flavor and aroma profile. Alcohol-tolerant and very versatile for a wide variety of styles. Similar to California Ale Yeast WLP001 but it generally ferments faster.
